Diamond Technology Introduces The HD 4870 X2
This new DUAL GPU graphics accelerator based on the HD 4870 delivers the greatest levels of graphics and gaming performance ever. The Diamond HD 4870 X2 is basically two HD 4870 graphics cards on a single card. Each GPU has 1GB of GDDR5 memory, making a total of 2GB on-board memory. Two Dual Link DVI outputs are available as well as TV-Out. 3D applications such as games use both on-board GPU's together in CrossFire mode to deliver a single accelerated output on the Primary display only. In this mode, the new Diamond HD 4870 X2 delivers performance as good or better than two HD 4870 cards in CrossFire mode, making it the fastest performing single card available.

HDMI Video and Audio
A system with an ATI Radeon™ HD 4800 Series graphics card can help enhance the HD entertainment experience by providing a seamless connection to an HDTV or home theater system. With built-in 7.1 surround sound audio (AC3 / DTS ), the new GPUs and graphics cards support single cable connection directly to a compatible HDTV, projector or receiver.
